The location is fantastic. Even though our windows were to the square the room was quiet. Highly recommend. Cafes, bakeries, grocery, shops within a stones throw of room.

2 weeks agoHighly recommend this building to anyone looking for a place where you’re treated like family! I’ve been living here for a while now, and I can honestly say this building truly feels like home. It’s rare to find a place that balances a great living space with such a genuine sense of community, but the team here nails it every day. The entire staff is incredibly welcoming, but I have to give a massive shout out to Jerry. He is hands down the best, always goes above and beyond to make sure residents are taken care of and does it with a great attitude. I also want to recognize Adrian at the concierge desk. Adrian has helped me out numerous times. He is always being professional and kind.

4 weeks agoI currently live at Avalon Bowery Place and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing, especially considering this is marketed as a luxury building where residents pay a premium to live. During my lease, a cocktail bar/lounge was built directly below my apartment. I reported the issue to management the day after the bar first opened, because the bass from the venue’s audio system was clearly audible in my apartment and I could feel the vibrations through my floors. The bar operates Tuesday through Saturday, and the noise frequently continues late into the night, often until around 1 AM, well past the building’s stated quiet hours of 10 PM. Management’s response was to send staff to my apartment to check the issue. When they said they could not hear anything during their visit, the matter was essentially dismissed. However, the problem did not go away and has continued since then. I have since provided video evidence clearly showing the vibrations in the apartment caused by the bass from the venue below. For a building that advertises itself as luxury and charges very high rent, the handling of this situation has been extremely unprofessional. Residents should not have to repeatedly prove that disruptive noise exists, especially when it violates the building’s own quiet-hour policies. It is also difficult to understand why a resident would report a noise issue the day after a bar opens directly below their apartment if the problem did not exist. The noise is ongoing, and the issue has still not been resolved. If you are considering living here, I would strongly recommend asking specifically about units located above retail spaces. In my experience, once a problem like this arises, management may not meaningfully address it.
